Job summary

OpenTalent seeks a senior Drupal developer to lead enterprise Drupal website and web application efforts in a federal tech environment. You will design, implement, and optimize Drupal modules, themes, and configurations, while collaborating with content, design, and QA teams to deliver secure, accessible, and scalable digital experiences.

You will work across front-end and back-end layers, ensuring performance, usability, and compliance with technical requirements, including accessibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of senior-level Drupal development experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Drupal module development and customization, including views, rules, and core/custom configuration.
• Experience with Drupal theming and Twig, and strong web-design principle understanding.
• Strong understanding of Drupal APIs, including Hooks, Services, Events, and related development concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, enhance, and maintain Drupal websites, applications, content types, modules, themes, and related components.
• Develop and customize Drupal modules and configurations to meet requirements.
• Create and maintain menus, navigation structures, information architecture, user roles, permissions, and publishing workflows.
• Develop responsive front-end solutions using Twig, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript.
• Support back-end Drupal development, including APIs, entity system, databases, and query optimization.
• Perform testing, troubleshoot defects, and optimize configurations for quality and performance.
• Ensure accessibility compliance and remediate issues.
• Maintain documentation and perform security patching and upgrades.
