Job summary

Hudbay, a copper-focused mining company, seeks a Senior Drill and Blast Supervisor to lead site-wide drilling and blasting. You will mentor drillers, blast crews and foremen, manage schedules and safety programs, and drive continuous improvement in fragmentation, wall stability, and vibration control across open-pit operations.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years supervisory experience in drilling and blasting.
• Proven ability to mentor junior staff and manage crews.
• Deep familiarity with MSHA regulations (current MSHA preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee site-wide drilling and blasting program and mentor crews.
• Direct and indirect supervision of drill and blast staff and foremen.
• Manage schedules, timecards, and performance evaluations.
• Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and regulatory checks.
