Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

Review drill and blast plan and cross-check blast volume by survey system to ensure achievement of blast results that optimize project cost, explosive stock, permit, police, government, and client relationship.

Job Responsibilities

Design sufficient blast patterns in order to maintain blasted inventory ahead of production (i.e. generate target feed for mining equipment). Blasted inventory is successfully maintained ahead of production.

Coordinate and supervise subcontractors in order to change blast holes on site in a timely manner per daily schedule. Document responsibility

Indirect supervise drill and blast activities in order to ensure compliance to safety regulations while also recording and documenting drilling and blasting activities.. Safety regulations are safely conducted and the drilling and blasting activities are accurately recorded.

Forecast future use of explosives in order to manage supply of explosives and on site stock. The explosives on site sock are well managed and predicted.

Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained

Education

Bachelor's Degree of Geologist

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience

• Min 5 (five) years experiences in Mining industry, out of which 3 (three) years experiences in Blasting.
• Has a certification in Shot Fires.
• Good understanding applications of drill blast design and shot plus / plan software.
• Familiar with designing drill and blast, leading the team and explosives handling.
• Good leadership skill
• An understanding of the operational and commercial impacts of blasting.
• Fluent in English, bothspoken and written is an advantage
