Qualifications

• Two courses in computer assisted drafting, design or mechanical drawing at the high school level or 6 semester hours/8 quarter hours of CAD course work.
• One year of automated drafting experience as a Drafting Technician 2 with the State of Alaska or equivalent elsewhere.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and updating engineering plans and maps using AutoCAD.
• Prepare specifications and cost estimates; interpret survey and field data.
• Coordinate federally funded projects and maintain technical records and infrastructure databases.
• Perform engineering calculations and ensure documentation integrity.
