Job summary

Valaris seeks a Senior Dynamic Positioning Operator to manage the DP system, monitor sensors, and act as the Officer in Charge of the Navigational Watch on location. You will lead JDPOs and DPOs, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and maintain DP logs and voyage plans.

The role requires an OICNW license, a DP Operator certificate, and Sr DPO training per Valaris matrices; you will coordinate with drill floor, ECR and ROV teams and uphold company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold Officer in Charge of Navigational Watch License (STCW II/1).
• Must hold a valid Dynamic Positioning Operator certificate.
• Minimum 2 years as a certified DPO on MODU(s) or 3 years on other DP vessels.
• Must complete Sr DPO training as described in Valaris training matrix.

Responsibilities

• Operate DP system and monitor related sensors; maintain logs and records.
• Serve as Senior Marine representative on the bridge/control room; lead JDPOs and DPOs.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and effective communication with drill floor, ECR and ROV.
• Prepare comprehensive work status reports and handovers; maintain voyage and DP logs.
