Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks an Acquisition Analyst to join our Arlington, VA team supporting the Department of War transformation efforts. The role emphasizes translating senior guidance into actionable recommendations and tracking progress across multiple transformation tasks.

This position requires 10+ years in defense acquisitions, DoDI 5000.02 knowledge, a Master’s degree, and an active TS/SCI clearance, with onsite work and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in acquisition and program management.
• 5+ years of experience with the Defense Acquisition System.
• Understanding of DoDI 5000.02 and the DoW acquisition process.
• Master's degree.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Willingness for occasional travel (less than 10%).
• DAWIA or DAU PM certification.
• Able to work fully onsite based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Support DoW Acquisition Transformation efforts as a core team member and translate senior guidance into actionable recommendations for OASW(A) and DoW leadership.
• Track implementation progress and accelerate execution; manage workflows across 38 secretary-directed transformation tasks.
• Drive accountability across the DoW and the Services and ensure strategic alignment among all stakeholders.
• Apply extensive experience with the DoW acquisition process and program management with senior DoW leadership.
