Qualifications

• Meets MDCB educational requirements to maintain certification
• Bachelor's degree plus more than 5 years of active clinical dosimetry experience required
• Certified Medical Dosimetrist by MDCB

Responsibilities

• Design treatment plans delivering prescribed dose to defined tumor volumes
• Perform monitor unit/timer dose calculations using software or manual methods
• Contour structures using CT/MRI/PET imaging and document dose
• Coordinate simulations and localization on CT, MRI, PET devices
• Assist in fabrication of compensators, shields, wedges, and immobilization devices
• Collaborate with therapy, physics and physician team to optimize treatment positioning
• Instruct therapists on plan implementation and plan variables
• Ensure documentation and QA for treatment plans and trials
• Participate in clinical research and data collection
