Job summary
Top Paw Resort in Carrollton, TX is seeking a Professional Groomer to become our sole groomer, with a minimum of 5 years of grooming experience across breeds and temperaments. You will uphold high safety and care standards in a busy shop.
Responsibilities include grooming, nail trims, dental care, ear cleaning, addressing coat issues, confirming appointments, and communicating with the manager. Compensation is 50% commission plus tips; benefits include health insurance, 401k matching, and 40
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years grooming experience across breeds and temperaments.
- Exemplary work ethic with a positive, self-motivated mindset.
- Self-starter able to work independently or with a team as needed.
- Outgoing, friendly demeanor and passion for pet care.
- Ability to safely restrain animals during grooming procedures.
- Understanding of general pet care including feeding, exercise, and hygiene.
- Strong customer service and communication to address client needs.
- Proficient in handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments.
Responsibilities
- Professionally groom all breeds to client preferences and breed standards.
- Ensure the safety and well‑being of pets during grooming.
- Provide nail trims, dental care, and ear cleaning.
- Address skin or coat issues; manage matting and fleas if present.
- Deliver high‑quality groom that meets client requests and pet health.
- Confirm appointments and coordinate with front desk/manager.
