Job summary

Pawtown Pet Resort Madison is seeking an experienced dog groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of full grooming experience, comfortable with various coat types, and loves building relationships with clients and their pets.

Pay is 50% commission plus tips. You will consult with clients, bathe, brush, trim, and style dogs, maintain records, manage scheduling, and help keep our facility safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional grooming experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with pet parents to recommend services based on coat type.
• Perform grooming: bath, brush, trim, dematting, nails, ears, and deodorizing.
• Style haircuts per industry standards and owner directions.
• Provide compassionate care, easing pet anxieties.
• Identify health concerns and advise owners to seek veterinary care.
• Manage grooming supplies and notify management of needs.
• Schedule appointments using kennel software.
• Maintain accurate pet records including vaccine requirements.
