Job summary

Swift Staffing seeks Principal-Level Systems Engineers for a federal government contractor in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will develop, maintain, and enhance IaC solutions for large-scale HPC systems, with a current Top Secret Clearance and Full Scope Polygraph required.

Responsibilities include DevSecOps leadership, requirements analysis, system design, and DoDAF-aligned architecture. On-site 40 hours/week with a salary range of $145,000-$155,000.

Qualifications

• At least 20 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
• Must have experience with Linux CLI and scripting (Bash/Python).
• Must have experience with laC concepts and automation tools (Ansible, SaltStack, Puppet, Chef, Terraform).
• Must have experience with CI/CD principles and Git/GitLab; DevSecOps practices.
• Must be willing to work on-site in a government-facing role; Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for DevSecOps principles across multiple development teams.
• Analyze requirements and develop system specifications and architectures.
• Provide technical leadership for integration, design, and testing of complex systems.
• Develop and maintain system engineering documentation and DoDAF-aligned architectures.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and program teams to ensure requirements traceability and compliance.
