Scientific Research Corporation in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Systems Administrator IV to manage, secure, and maintain critical IT infrastructure supporting government R&D initiatives. This role supports specialized, air-gapped networks and sensitive engineering software in fast-paced environments.

The position requires five years of systems admin experience, DoD/IC network experience, DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II, and an Associate degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Five years of systems administration experience; two years supporting classified DoD/IC networks (GenSer/SCI).
• Associate degree in CS, cyber security, IT, or related discipline, or equivalent experience/certifications.
• DoD 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Active IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security).
• Must hold or obtain within 6 months an OS-specific credential (e.g., RHCSA, Windows Server Admin).

Responsibilities

• Managing, securing, and maintaining critical IT infrastructure supporting government R&D initiatives.
• Supporting specialized, non-standard engineering software, rapid prototyping, and highly restricted air-gapped or closed-loop networks.
