Job summary

Frontier AI Lab is seeking a Senior DoD Staff Writing SME contractor to contribute expert knowledge and writing skills to a pivotal customer project. You will develop prompts, grading rubrics, and authentic DoD report artifacts to train AI systems, applying DoD standards and terminology.

The role requires US-based candidates with DoD experience, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel for back-office tasks such as memos, briefings, and reports.

Qualifications

• Experience drafting DoD-style WARs, SITREPs, and executive summaries.
• At least 3 years in a federal or DoD-related role.
• U.S.-based with DoD terminology familiarity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, audience-appropriate language.
• Experience with back-office tools like PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop prompts and artifacts for DoD staff writing tasks.
• Create grading guidelines for AI outputs in line with DoD standards.
• Produce authentic DoD-style report artifacts across scenarios.
• Design and review test materials for AI capabilities in federal contexts.
• Engage in feedback cycles to refine prompts, responses, and rubrics.
• Simulate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc federal reporting formats.
