Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to own mission-critical DoD cybersecurity programs, lead security design, risk assessments, and RMF/ATO strategies across high-impact environments.

You will mentor engineers, drive system accreditation from strategy to execution, and implement AI-enabled workflows for automated vulnerability detection, continuous compliance, and prioritized remediation.

Qualifications

• Top Secret/SCI clearance currently possession is required.
• Experience leading security design, risk assessments, and RMF/A&A for DoD systems.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, assessment, and authorization of complex DoD systems following RMF processes.
• Own RMF documentation lifecycle including SSPs and risk assessments.
• Guide teams through ATO/IATO and ensure continuous monitoring and compliance.
• Architect and implement advanced cybersecurity controls to counter evolving threats.
• Integrate AI/ML into cybersecurity workflows for threat detection and risk scoring.
• Direct deployment of cyber tools like ACAS, Splunk, HBSS and eMASS.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with stakeholders.
