Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Associate, Procurement to support government/DoD programs, focusing on metal fabrication procurement. You will interface with suppliers, ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS, and manage cost and schedule performance in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves daily sourcing, bid package preparation, and collaboration across Quality, Engineering, and Operations. Onsite at Ashburn, VA or Richardson, TX with up to 20% travel; security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or graduate degree with 0–2 years experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of related experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, ISO 9100 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily procurement activity, sourcing suppliers and analyzing costs and schedules for manufacturing and programs.
• Addresses quality concerns with QA, engineering, and operations.
• Develops strong supplier relationships and liaises with management.
• Supports development of new technologies and supplier capabilities.
• Ensures FAR/DFARS requirements are flowed down to suppliers and compliant.
• Prepares RFPs and bid packages; coordinates supplier meetings for updates.
• Manages supplier returns and aligns three-way invoice matches for payments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearances as required.
• Briefs management on program cost and schedule status; travel up to 20%.
