Job summary

Sugpiat Defense is seeking an OPERATIONS SUPPORT SME (OSS) to support DoD client operations at JHQ/JTF, providing analytical support, planning, and assessment across planning, deployment, and execution. The role involves coordinating with government partners, preparing briefs, and delivering actionable recommendations to enhance mission readiness and effectiveness.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree, JPME/PME credentials, 5+ years in DoD planning, and a current Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 5 years combined military experience in a joint, combined, and interagency environment.
• Graduate of a JPME course, Intermediate Development Course, Senior Professional Military Education Course, or civilian equivalent.
• 5 years of proven experience in DoD planning and design or civilian equivalent.
• Proven experience convening and leading small groups and adapting complex subject matter to facilitate discussion and understanding.
• Current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analyses of JHQ/JTF operational and functional processes to discern advantages and disadvantages.
• Identify anomalies in current JHQ/JTF operations and provide material and procedural change recommendations.
• Review JHQ/JTF-related processes against projected requirements to identify tradeoffs and optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with participants in planning, preparation, deployment, and support of JHQ/JTF operations including USSOCOM, GCCs, TSOCs, Joint Staff, OSD, NATO and other partners.
• Prepare and present written orders, plans, briefings, and papers to senior leaders.
