Job summary

Astrion seeks a Journeyman Network Services Specialist to support EPASS Cyber and Networks Directorate at Hanscom AFB, MA. The role focuses on planning, implementing, testing, and sustaining complex DoD networks with emphasis on security and reliability.

Requirements include a Master’s or Bachelor’s in a related field, a decade of experience (five in DoD), and hands-on work with MPLS/BGP/OSPF, 2FA, STIGs, and network testing. Remote travel is limited.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field.
• Years of Experience: 10 years in the discipline, 5 in the DoD; 2 extra years with proper certifications may substitute for a Master’s.
• 3-5 years of networking experience in MPLS, BGP, OSPF.
• Implementing Native 2FA on network devices.
• Experience with network hardware and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support planning, design, development, testing, and maintenance of networked systems for voice, data, and video.
• Analyze and recommend network requirements.
• Monitor network capacity and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve network problems.
• Ensure rigorous information security/cybersecurity practices in network delivery.
