Job summary

Systek is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide SETA support at Ft. Gordon, GA. The role focuses on maintaining network availability and performing upgrades across routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and QoS.

Required are a Master’s in engineering or CS and at least 10 years supporting DoD programs, plus an active DoD Top Secret/SCI w/ Poly clearance. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or computer science.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting DoD programs.
• Active DoD Top Secret/SCI w/Poly clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
