Job summary

American Operations Corporation is seeking a Computer Network Architect to design, implement, and maintain a secure enterprise network for 66 ABG/SC and its customers. You will provide advanced expertise in routing, switching, security, and Cisco ISE while ensuring DoD, Air Force, and DISA standards compliance.

The role includes installation, upgrades, and 24/7 support within contract parameters, plus collaboration with vendors and Tier 3 teams to resolve complex incidents.

Qualifications

• DoD Secret clearance required.
• B.S. degree in IT with a concentration in Networking or Computer Science.
• CompTIA Security+ required and DoD 8570 CEU compliance.
• CCNA/CCNP certification preferred.
• Experience managing highly available network infrastructure for 7,500+ users.
• Hands-on Cisco routers, switches, and ISE design and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, implement, and troubleshoot network solutions per Air Force enterprise standards.
• Assist with lifecycle planning for network environments and capacity planning.
• Manage and maintain a converged Gigabit Ethernet network infrastructure.
• Design, install, configure, and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Voice services.
• Perform daily operational tasks and upgrade projects, handling remedy tickets and IP address management.
• Provide engineering support for classified and enclave networks.
• Ensure compliance with DoD, Air Force, DISA directives and STIGs.
• Interface with vendors for warranty claims and hardware/software upgrades.
• Coordinate Tier 3 support and research technical issues.
