Job summary

Blue Sky Innovators, Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Senior Financial Manager to join our team. The role focuses on senior DoD financial management and acquisitions, supporting program control and program managers, and contributing to USSF space programs.

We expect 12+ years in DoD/Aerospace financial management, with 6+ years in DoD acquisition finance. A TS clearance with SCI eligibility is required. Travel about 10% and a strong MS Office background are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Business, Accounting, Math, Engineering, or other applicable degree.
• MA, MS, or MBA will count as 2 years of additional experience.
• 12+ years of DoD or Aerospace Financial Management experience.
• 6+ years of Acquisition Financial Management of DoD systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as a member of larger dynamic teams.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Hold a current TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Experience with DoD funding documents, contracts, and lines of account.
• Understand PPBE process.
• Military/DoD/Federal budget experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and conduct financial management support for the Program Control shop and Program Managers.
• Work with Government and Contractor teams performing DoD Acquisitions.
• Provide senior level Financial Management support across broad DoD areas.
• Focus on USSF space programs.
• Travel ~10% of the time.
• Support budget development: validation, forecasting, prioritization, traceability.
• Compile, analyze, and reconcile financial data for program status.
• Prepare, process, review, and categorize budget documents from multiple sources.
• Support acquisition planning and oversight activities (IPAs, IBR, RFPs, PMRs, etc.).
