Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an experienced Acquisition Specialist Level 3 to support USSF and its mission-critical acquisition efforts. The role involves market research, acquisition strategy development, RFP assistance, and supporting evaluations.

The ideal candidate brings a detail-oriented mindset and deep knowledge of DoD acquisition, PPBE, and procurement processes to support complex programs with senior DoD stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
• 10 years of relevant DoD experience supporting contracts, subcontracts, acquisition, or procurement activities.
• Demonstrated experience supporting the full acquisition lifecycle, including planning, solicitations, evaluations, source selection, and post-award activities.
• Strong knowledge of Air Force and Space Force acquisition processes, policies, and practices.
• Working knowledge of risk management and the PPBE process.
• Experience supporting product development, S&T programs, or similar DoD environments.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. Space Force structure, mission objectives, and stakeholder priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support complex DoD, USAF, and USSF acquisition activities throughout the lifecycle.
• Develop and support acquisition strategies, market research, evaluation criteria, contract requirements, and source selection.
• Integrate cost, schedule, and performance requirements to support program objectives and decisions.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program and acquisition risks for successful execution.
• Support PPBE activities and associated acquisition planning.
• Provide acquisition expertise supporting product development and S&T programs in DoD environments.
• Collaborate with program teams, government stakeholders, and senior leadership to support objectives.
