Job summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC, in Los Angeles, seeks an Acquisition Specialist – SME to support DoD missions. You will develop strategies, analyze costs and schedules, prepare plans and briefing materials, and manage workflows using BMC3I Elite to enhance decision-making.

The role requires extensive DoD acquisition experience, FAR/DFARS knowledge, and collaboration with program managers, contracting officers, and leadership to ensure compliant, efficient programs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP access.
• 15+ years of DoD acquisition management or related experience.
• Experience with BMC3I Elite, BMC Helix, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and DoD 5000 series guidance.
• Experience supporting software acquisition and Agile methods.
• Proven ability to develop acquisition strategies and executive briefings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize acquisition strategies and lifecycle plans.
• Analyze requirements, costs, schedules, risks, and performance.
• Prepare acquisition plans, milestone packages, and justifications.
• Use BMC3I Elite to manage workflows, documentation, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate acquisition data and program records.
• Create dashboards and automated workflows for visibility.
• Collaborate with program managers, contracting officers, engineers, and leadership.
• Support readiness assessments and configuration management.
• Prepare executive briefings and status reports.
