Job summary

PETADATA is seeking a Senior Documentum Specialist in Reston, VA, offering hybrid work with a strong ECM focus. The candidate will lead design, development, and migrations of Documentum applications, while integrating RESTful APIs and AWS services to deliver scalable cloud-enabled ECM solutions.

The role requires 15+ years of Documentum experience, solid knowledge of security and architecture, and proficiency in Java/SQL, with Agile delivery and client-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with Documentum and ECM products (Content Server, D2 Config, D2 Classic, D2 Smart View, Brava, CTS, xPlore, DFC Client).
• Strong understanding of Documentum architecture, object model, and security.
• 2+ years of REST API development with Spring Framework for Documentum or similar ECM platforms.
• 3+ years of AWS services (EC2, ECS, RDS, ALB, SSM, SQS, SNS, Lambda).
• Experience with OpenText integration with Documentum or other systems.
• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
• Proficient in Java, DFC, SQL; understanding of encryption and access controls (GDPR/HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and troubleshooting of Documentum applications for performance, scalability, and security.
• Design and implement customized Documentum solutions using Content Server, D2, Brava, and related tools.
• Oversee upgrades and migrations, including data migrations and architecture changes.
• Architect and configure Documentum workflows, business rules, and lifecycle management.
• Develop REST APIs and integrate Documentum with external systems via REST APIs.
• Lead Agile teams, participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and code reviews.
• Serve as the primary technical consultant for clients, providing ongoing support and guidance.
