Job description

Location: This position can sit in a Seacoast Bank office in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Jacksonville, Mt. Dora, Maitland or Stuart.

Work schedule is hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote)

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior Document Services Specialist with extensive knowledge in commercial loan documentation and collateral requirements. The role involves preparing and reviewing commercial loan documents, ensuring accuracy based on credit approval packages, and collaborating with Loan Officers and attorneys. Strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Identify and gather all necessary legal, regulatory, compliance, and bank policy documents for loan transactions.
  2. Coordinate with legal counsel or independently draft loan documents using bank software.
  3. Conduct due diligence reviews, evaluating borrower and collateral information, and collecting documentation such as OFAC reports, Flood Determinations, UCC searches, Good Standing Certificates, and Title Commitments.
  4. Review complex legal documents to ensure understanding of terms and conditions.
  5. Verify organizational documents for accuracy and authority to execute agreements.
  6. Review legal documentation prior to execution to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  7. Monitor pending closing items and collaborate to finalize files.
  8. Maintain positive relationships with lending personnel, closing agents, and attorneys.
  9. Meet service level and quality standards for the department.
  10. Develop expertise in various loan products and collateral types.
  11. Note: In case of a Business Continuity event, overnight travel or deployment for up to 3 weeks may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of commercial loan processing and documentation experience; LaserPro experience preferred.
  • MBA from a top program preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate and syndicated loans.
  • Experience with commercial banking systems to extract and analyze information.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and attend industry events.
  • Proficiency in typing (40+ WPM) and PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Decision Pro, LaserPro, nCino, SBA Spark, and core servicing systems is preferred.
