Overview

As a Senior Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing document control processes for our projects. You will be responsible for the systematic handling of documentation, ensuring that all project documents are organised, accessible, and compliant with both quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  • Establish, implement, and maintain an efficient document control system that meets project specifications and industry best practices.
  • Analyze and audit document flow processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to determine document control needs and develop tailored solutions to enhance project delivery efficiency.
  • Ensure all project correspondence, reports, drawings, and other documents are logged, tracked, and processed promptly.
  • Support in day-to-day operations.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and skills development among team members.
  • Create and enforce document control policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular audits of document management processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all document control inquiries, facilitating communication between project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and present reports on document status, including submission and review cycles, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Implement and manage document control software (such as Aconex, BIM 360, or similar), ensuring effective utilisation by all relevant personnel.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in document control to continually improve the effectiveness of your document management practices.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in document control within the construction industry
  • Proven experience working with large-scale construction projects and main contractors.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
  • Proficient in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with BIM software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of management.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
