Job summary

Aging Care, Inc. in California is seeking a skilled DME technician to repair, service, and deliver durable medical equipment for Medicare and Medi‑Cal patients. The role includes repairing power wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, and related items in patients' homes or facilities.

You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, educate patients and caregivers, and ensure accurate documentation while coordinating with office staff and scheduling service calls.

Responsibilities

• Repair, set up, service, deliver, and pick up DME.
• Troubleshoot and repair manual and power wheelchairs, scooters, hospital beds, patient lifts, and related equipment.
• Perform Quality Control of repairs done.
• Perform preventative maintenance and yearly maintenance on DME.
• Diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, and power mobility issues.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the proper use and operation of equipment.
• Complete service, delivery, and maintenance documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain company vehicle, tools, parts, and equipment in proper working condition.
• Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, healthcare facilities, and office staff.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and training to other technicians when needed.
• Assist with daily routing, scheduling, and coordinating service calls.
• Assist with warehouse inventory, organization, receiving, and parts management.
• Help identify equipment and service issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
