Job summary

Cruise Brothers is seeking a Django backend developer to join the team handling models, APIs, and business logic. You’ll pair with the frontend developer to deliver features for a mature travel platform used by thousands of agents and customers daily.

Expect a strong focus on relational data, PostgreSQL, and API integrations, with opportunities to grow into owning parts of the platform. The role is hybrid with remote considerations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years building production web apps with Python and Django or similar mature framework.
• Comfortable navigating a large, established codebase.
• Strong relational data modeling with PostgreSQL.
• Frontend basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to finish features.
• Read documentation before asking and verify AI-generated code before shipping.
• Nice to have: payments, accounting, travel, telephony/SMS, or money-in-database use cases.

Responsibilities

• Backend features across bookings, commissions, agent management, messaging, and reporting.
• API endpoints and integrations with external travel systems and payment/SMS providers.
• Develop an automation hook platform and keep it progressing.
• Modernize a mature codebase with structured per-model organization and CI improvements.
• Own tickets end to end: reproduce, fix, test, ship.
• Grow into ownership of a specific platform slice.
