Job summary

Loyola University Medical Center in Illinois seeks an accomplished Plastic Surgeon to serve as Division Chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This physician leadership role blends meaningful clinical practice with program direction, team development, quality, and growth.

The Division operates at Loyola University Medical Center with additional sites and a collaborative environment. A strong leadership track and academic standing are preferred, with a competitive compensation package

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Plastic Surgery.
• Associate or Professor of Surgery rank.
• Prior leadership, division development, or physician management experience strongly preferred.
• Track record of mentorship and career guidance for faculty, residents and students.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and to balance clinical excellence with operational stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical, strategic, and operational leadership for the division.
• Guide division that spans cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, breast reconstruction, skin cancer reconstruction, facial reconstruction, body contouring, burn surgery, complex wound care, craniomaxillofacial trauma, and pediatric congenital deformities.
• Collaborate with Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Dermatology, Trauma, Wound Care, and hospital leadership to strengthen coordinated patient care.
• Partner with leadership on physician recruitment, access, quality improvement, operational standardization, and program expansion.
