The County of Riverside’s District Attorney's Office seeks Senior District Attorney Investigators to fill several vacancies. These investigators will conduct thorough investigations, gather evidence, and assist in prosecuting law violators while enjoying various work schedule options and potential for educational pay incentives. Applicants must demonstrate investigative experience and meet specific educational qualifications.
The County of Riverside's District Attorney's Office is seeking Senior District Attorney Investigators at levels A and B to fill multiple vacancies throughout Riverside County. These peace officers perform a full range of investigative work within the Bureau of Investigation, with various office locations including Riverside, Murrieta, Banning, Indio, Blythe, and other Task Force sites. Work schedules available include 9/80, 4/10, and 5/40. Assignments vary across Specialty Task Forces, Fraud, and Bureau Operations. Higher salary ranges may be available based on POST certificates, with promotional opportunities to levels II and III. All applicants must submit a resume to be considered.
Education Incentive Pay: Bachelor Degree - 2.5% of base pay; Masters Degree - 5.0% of base pay.
Under supervision, conduct criminal investigations involving evidence gathering for the apprehension and prosecution of law violators. Responsibilities include investigating law violations, gathering and analyzing evidence, conducting field investigations, interviewing witnesses and suspects, and assisting attorneys in case preparation. Incumbents may also conduct background checks, execute search warrants, participate in surveillance and undercover operations, and testify in court.
The role involves operating technical investigative equipment, maintaining detailed records, and possibly being assigned to specialized units or tasks such as law enforcement liaison, range master, or criminal justice instructor. Periodic investigations may include police-involved incidents, fraud, child abduction, and organized crime.
Possession of a valid California, Arizona, or Nevada driver’s license. Valid Intermediate POST Certificate required; Advanced POST preferred. Ability to pass a background check.
