Job summary

The County of Contra Costa District Attorney's Office is seeking experienced Senior Inspectors to join the Bureau of Investigations. You will locate witnesses, interview suspects, preserve evidence, and coordinate with attorneys and other agencies in preparing criminal cases for prosecution.

Successful candidates will handle high-impact investigations across diverse units, testify in court, prepare reports, and may work nights, weekends, or overtime as required by the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience as an investigator or detective in law enforcement preferred.
• Citizenship or eligible residency as required.

Responsibilities

• Locate witnesses and victims and act as liaison between DA's office and witnesses.
• Assist in service of warrants and gathering statements and evidence.
• Work with deputy district attorneys on prosecutions and crime scenes.
• Coordinate with law enforcement partners and testify at proceedings.
• Maintain reports and participate in investigations and discovery.
