Job summary

Petco is seeking a Senior Manager of Distribution Operations to oversee daily DC operations, drive process improvement, and align distribution with company goals. You will lead managers and front-line staff, ensuring safe, efficient receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping while fostering a culture of accountability and data-driven decision-making.

The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, strong P&L management, and collaboration across supply chain teams to optimize service

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 6 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience leading large teams in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of distribution and warehouse technologies (WMS, TMS) and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building high-performance teams and fostering a positive work culture
• Strong business acumen, with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and financial performance in a distribution setting.
• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of managers, supervisors, and distribution staff to ensure high levels of engagement, productivity, and performance.
• Foster a positive, inclusive culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the workforce.
• Develop leadership capabilities within the team, ensuring clear succession planning and growth opportunities.
• Drive a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all OSHA and company safety regulations.
