Job summary

Oracle is seeking a software-focused engineer to design, implement, and optimize components in distributed systems with emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and operability. You will deliver features, run load/performance tests, and implement reliability patterns, automation, and security controls while ensuring change and documentation standards are met.

You will collaborate to build fault-tolerant paths, monitor health via telemetry, and participate in incident responses and post-incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Mathematics, Physics, or related field AND 4 years of experience in software development
• OR Master’s Degree in same fields AND 2 years of experience in software development

Responsibilities

• System design and architecture for scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Implement load testing, resilience patterns, and recovery-oriented computing
• Develop automation and IaC for cloud infrastructure and release management
• Collaborate across teams to ensure security, compliance, and reliable operations
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues; participate in incident response and RCAs

Education
