Job summary

Alluxio in Foster City, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Distributed Systems to evolve the Alluxio project, tackling challenges in distributed data services, memory efficiency, and thread concurrency.

You will lead architectural decisions, implement scalable solutions for thousands of nodes, collaborate with product management, and mentor teammates to take concepts from idea to production.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
• >2 years of software development in Java, C/C++, or Go.
• Experience with two or more of: distributed/parallel systems, distributed storage, architecting large-scale software, or security software development.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working proficiency in English.
