Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara seeks a 100% hands-on Storage Services Software Engineer to join the block storage group. You will build next-generation block storage and a proprietary distributed file system from inception, collaborating with networking teams and external customers.

You will design architecture, implement, test storage services in Host and DPU environments, and tackle complex bugs at scale. The role requires strong C/C++ and Linux kernel experience, with opportunities to work on

Qualifications

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in CS/EE or related.
15+ years of experience in storage, networking, or OS domains.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming.
Experience with Linux block subsystem, File system and IO stack; NVMe standards.
Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems, preferably in storage/networking.
Autonomous, proactive, able to learn quickly and adapt.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of cloud computing concepts including virtualization, scalability, and data management.

Responsibilities

100% hands-on coding in C, kernel and userspace.
Access advanced AI tools and a token budget for code development.
Research, design, implement and test distributed storage services and features in block and file storage.
Understand interactions across NVIDIA's block and file storage ecosystem.
Analyze and solve bugs in large-scale production systems; drive new solutions.
