Job summary

ICAT LOGISTICS INC is seeking a Dispatcher III to coordinate daily transportation activities, optimize routes, and ensure on-time delivery across freight operations. The role focuses on proactive shipment monitoring, carrier coordination, and cost control.

You will monitor shipments with TMS tools, communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams, and mentor junior staff. A 5+ year background in freight dispatch, strong cost awareness, and TMS proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years dispatch experience in freight forwarding or related operations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with TMS platforms and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring shipments are scheduled, routed, and tracked efficiently.
• Plan, assign, and adjust routes and loads to optimize cost, service, and equipment utilization.
• Evaluate carriers and capacity; negotiate rates and select optimal transportation solutions.
• Serve as the primary communication point between customers, drivers, and internal departments.
• Monitor transit progress using TMS, GPS, and carrier communication; resolve delays or exceptions.
