Job summary

Gelber Group in Chicago, IL, seeks an Experienced Discretionary Macro Markets Trader with a proven profitability record. You will manage your own trading book focusing on macro futures and risk, working in a senior, in-person role at our River North office.

The successful candidate will analyze markets, develop and test strategies, monitor PnL risk, and collaborate with leadership. A minimum of three years of verified profitability and experience in proprietary trading or hedge funds is

Qualifications

Proven track record of profitability in trading, including risk-adjusted returns.
Experience managing a PnL, or leading a trading desk in a larger team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Manage your own trading book with a focus on trading liquid macro futures.
Manage risk of a portfolio of active strategies and drive trading decisions.
Analyze market trends, order flow, and patterns to identify opportunities.
Develop, test, and refine trading strategies using historical data and real-time conditions.
Continuously monitor market conditions, news, and macroeconomic events.
Communicate changes in risk and PnL deviations to leadership.
