Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a Senior Disaster Recovery Analyst to lead selected DR program activities, maintain recovery documentation, manage dependencies, and coordinate tests. This role collaborates with technology, cybersecurity, business, and vendor stakeholders to ensure recovery readiness against enterprise standards.

The position requires 4–6+ years in DR/BC and a Bachelor’s in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, Business or related field or equivalent.
• 4–6+ years in Disaster Recovery, BC, Technology Resilience, IT ops, or related disciplines.
• Experience supporting recovery tests, audit evidence, dependency documentation, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve DR inventory, RTO/RPO, dependency, and recovery documentation in approved enterprise systems.
• Coordinate tabletop and functional recovery tests with materials, evidence, and after-action documentation.
• Support audit readiness by collecting evidence and tracking remediation items.
• Monitor cloud, SaaS, MSP, and vendor recovery documentation for completeness and alignment.
• Prepare program reporting inputs on recovery capability health, evidence quality, and maturity.
