Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Senior Community Disaster Program Manager to lead volunteers and staff in delivering disaster cycle services across the region. You will train and empower a diverse workforce, ensuring readiness, response and recovery efforts align with standards and community needs.

You will collaborate with internal partners, manage multiple priorities, and deploy to disaster sites as required, contributing to a resilient regional network and mission-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Empower volunteers and lead diverse teams delivering disaster cycle services.
• Oversee implementation of disaster cycle services in the region.
• Develop Disaster Leadership Volunteers and community partners for readiness, response and recovery.
• Engage communities and coordinate with internal partners in a matrix environment.
• Act as a regional subject matter expert to maximize presence and mobilization.
• Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in the region.
