Job summary

The Staff Pad partnered with a full-service excavation and pipeline construction company in Mabank, TX, seeking an experienced Dirt Superintendent to lead daily jobsite operations and deliver projects on time and within budget.

You will oversee crews, manage schedules, safety, quality, and coordination with general contractors, inspectors, and utility representatives, while ensuring work progresses according to plan.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil field experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Project Manager.
• Ability to read and work from prints, plan and profile drawings, and specifications.
• Proven ability to manage a jobsite from the general contractor relationship through field laborers.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day jobsite operations, including manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and scheduling.
• Serve as primary daily contact for general contractor, owner, inspectors, and utility representatives.
• Develop look-ahead plans and adjust for weather, inspections, and conflicts.
• Direct foremen, operators, and laborers to meet production targets.
• Track production and unit costs using Raken and Excel; manage change orders and field signatures.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, trucking, and site logistics.
• Oversee safety programs, job hazard analyses, and excavation safety requirements.
• Document and close out punch lists, restoration, and project closeout to owner’s satisfaction.
