Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Director of Workforce Strategy & Operational Excellence to lead enterprise workforce strategy, readiness, and regulatory integrity for a ~1,500-person organization. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, operations, analytics, business or related field.
• 12+ years in enterprise functions with contact centers, specialty pharmacy, or healthcare operations.
• 5+ years leading directors/managers overseeing centralized support services or operations excellence teams.
• Experience building forecasting models to manage staffing and resources.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and privacy (HIPAA).
• Experience applying AI within PHI environments and governance.
• Strong executive presence with data-driven recommendations.
• Proficiency with WFM tools, BI/reporting platforms, and data governance practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Workforce Management: Analyze data to forecast staffing needs and inform strategic decisions.
• Develop workforce management models for 15+ roles to improve service levels and cost.
• Translate data into strategic recommendations on resourcing, process redesign, and training.
• Ensure deployment decisions align with business objectives to deliver high-quality patient/provider experiences.
• Establish process standards, change controls, SOPs, and knowledge management.
• Lead executive analytics and reporting across PSC/ATC with dashboards and scorecards.
• Learning & Development: build enterprise capability and engage with senior leadership to align standards.
• Lead AI-enabled transformation within workflows and measure impact.
• Establish metrics and drive learning programs for continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: governance and risk mitigation for HIPAA and regulatory adherence.
• Shape QA frameworks and documentation practices to meet regulatory expectations.
• Strategic Leadership & Innovation: develop multi-year roadmaps and advise executives on workforce investments.
• Travel up to 25% for collaboration and program governance.
