We are seeking an experienced Senior Director or VP of Finance & Accounting to join a dynamic and growing $2 billion retail company. This is an exciting succession planning opportunity for an ambitious financial leader aiming to become the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Key Highlights:

• Industry: Retail (Experience in retail finance is a MUST)
• Reporting to: Current VP of Finance
• Location: 5 days onsite (Non-negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of Finance & Accounting, including:
• Bank loans
• Day-to-day financial operations
• Communication and coordination across departments
• Provide strategic financial leadership while preparing to step into the CFO role.
• Lead financial planning, reporting, and analysis for the company’s operations, including:
• Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team to support business growth.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Partner with senior leadership to drive financial strategy and decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Retail industry experience REQUIRED.
• CPA highly preferred (The company operates like a public company despite being private).
• Experience with Epicor or other retail finance applications is a plus.
• Previous supermarket industry experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with a long-term vision for career growth.
• A clear path to becoming the next CFO with hands-on succession planning.
