Job summary

The JCC of Stamford seeks a Senior Director to lead The Vogel Family Center for Early Learning, including KinderPlace and Sara Walker Nursery School. The role reports to the Senior Director and ensures licensing compliance, enrollment growth, and strong budgets on the Stamford campus.

Ideal candidates bring significant leadership experience in early childhood education, a master's degree, and bilingual capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or education.
• 8+ years in early learning, camp, or school settings with significant classroom teaching.
• 3+ years in an administrative or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the directors of KinderPlace and Sara Walker Nursery School and set shared standards.
• Lead a curriculum grounded in child development and Jewish values for families of all backgrounds.
• Ensure licensing compliance and readiness for inspection.
• Recruit, develop and retain qualified teachers; manage enrollment and budgets.
• Oversee Care 4 Kids participation and other subsidy programs.
• Keep families informed and confident in their child's care.
