The US HEOR lead is a critical member of the HEOR team that serves as the US healthcare decision maker voice in the Medical Affairs and Evidence Generation Department. The Senior Director, US HEOR works collaboratively with cross-functional partners including medical affairs, market access, commercial, regulatory and others to align on the value of barzolvolimab and other pipeline products and their place in therapy. The Senior Director serves as a subject matter expert in US payer landscape, PIE, US models and dossiers. The US HEOR lead will work with in-house teams and partner closely with Field Medical, Market Access, and future field-based HEOR capabilities to translate evidence into actionable insights for healthcare decision makers. This role will incorporate field-generated payer, provider, and health system insights into evidence generation and value communication strategies. This position will report to the Executive Director of HEOR.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement US customer facing deliverables (Medical PIE decks, US BIM, AMCP dossier, etc.) for products in the Celldex pipeline to build the foundation for the unmet needs and product value
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external HEOR researchers and establish evidence-based solutions to solve access challenges
  • Provide access expertise for cross functional team members within the broader Medical Affairs & Evidence Generation department
  • Develops US HEOR strategic and tactical plans aligned with Medical Affairs and Market Access leadership; Ensures critical RWE and access insights are communicated and implemented into the strategic plans (ex. Integrated evidence generation plan, payer value proposition)
  • Establish and standardize internal processes and framework for the development of medical payer focused deliverables in partnership with Strategy, Excellence, and Operations function.
  • Partner with Field Medical Leadership, MSL, Field HEOR & Account Management teams to identify evidence gaps, capture healthcare decision making insights and inform evidence generation, value communication and launch readiness strategies
  • Lead enterprise initiatives that solve for access, reimbursement and HTA challenges
  • Effectively present research findings, economic models and payers facing slide decks to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure HEOR activities and external engagements are conducted with scientific integrity and in accordance with applicable company policies, industry standards, privacy requirements, and regulatory and compliance expectations.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, SciD, MD) in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10+ years biopharma experience in health economics, outcomes research, patient reported outcomes, market access or related fields in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to independently conduct HEOR research across multiple assets
  • Experience developing and executing customer research collaborations
  • Deep knowledge and experience in managed care, integrated delivery networks, formulary decision makers, payment/access models and US policy and HTA trends
  • Track record of established relationships and collaborating with end users of HEOR evidence to support healthcare decision makers
  • Ability to view HEOR from both a scientific and business perspective
  • Work effectively cross functionally with strong problem-solving skills
  • Expertise in pharmacoeconomic analysis, patient reported outcomes, observational research and their application to healthcare decision makers
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Travel Required – 30-40%
Compensation Statement

The expected base salary for this position is: $203157.00 to $263841.00. We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors including experience, education, licensure/certifications, skill level, location of the position, and availability of similar talent in a competitive market. Subject to eligibility and applicable plan terms, compensation includes base salary, annual discretionary bonus, long term incentive, 401(K) plan with employer contribution, health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), paid holidays, vacation, and sick days.
