Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a strategic Senior Director to lead a premier portfolio of Federal Financial programs, driving growth and delivering mission‑critical technology solutions for Treasury agencies. This role emphasizes customer engagement, strong team leadership, and delivery excellence across high‑impact initiatives.

The position requires 10+ years in IT program leadership with full P&L ownership, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain/maintain a Public Trust
• US Person required
• 10+ years of progressive experience in managing/leading IT and professional services program portfolio; experience leading full P&L responsibilities for a portfolio of programs of $50M/yr + with positive net margin performance

Responsibilities

• Lead the portfolio and setting the strategic and operating plan for the Financial Agencies Business Area.
• Perform financial management with profit and loss responsibility for the portfolio, with the responsibility to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Provide customer and technical oversight of the portfolio, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and superior service delivery.
• Drive growth – in collaboration with the Sector and Division resources; delivering a strong book-to-bill, re-compete wins, and YoY new business growth.
• Ensure alignment with Sector, Division and Company strategy and objectives.
• Manage and optimize an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development.
• Develop a short- and long-term growth strategy with related tactical execution plans that will drive top line and bottom-line growth for the team.
• Build and manage an effective and efficient team focused on high quality delivery, financial performance, and client relationship development.
• Engage the leverage services arm of the company to bring our capabilities in cloud, infrastructure, applications development, AI/ML and related services to existing and potentially new clients; and
• Reinforce the GDIT culture through accountability, curiosity and learning, results and impact, and positive energy.
