Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Director of Transactions Tax to lead tax due diligence, analysis, and planning for complex buy-side and sell-side transactions. The role partners with private equity and corporate clients, providing expert guidance on Subchapter C, K, and S structures and post-closing opportunities.

The position requires a CPA or JD preferred, 7+ years of U.S. federal income tax experience, and the ability to travel to clients and offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years of post-graduate combined professional experience in tax.
• Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s).

Responsibilities

• Assist private equity and corporate clients with tax due diligence, structuring, and tax modeling on buy-side and sell-side transactions.
• Prepare tax due diligence reports for C-suite audience.
• Direct complex tax research and formulate tax planning strategies.
• Apply and interpret US federal income tax law as it relates to tax due diligence and advisory.
• Review purchase agreements and disclosure schedules; identify post-closing opportunities.
