Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis is seeking a Senior Director of Toxicology to lead strategy, resources, and scientific direction for toxicology research and portfolio planning.

You will supervise staff, review regulatory submissions, engage with partners, and align departmental goals with global medicine development. This role supports world-class medicines and requires leadership in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• PhD in Toxicology or DVM with MS in toxicology or related field.
• 10+ years of technical toxicology experience in pharma.
• 10+ years of regulatory experience with nonclinical safety.
• DABT preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with ICH and regional guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategy planning and oversight of toxicology research and portfolio support activities.
• Review and approve regulatory submissions.
• Supervise research staff; develop performance plans and provide mentoring.
• Serve on leadership and scientific review committees; oversee study designs and results.
• Engage in external partnerships and manage vendor relationships.
• Perform responsibilities delegated by senior management.
