Job summary

PepsiCo is seeking a senior toxicology expert to lead risk assessment and safety strategy for NA and LATAM. You will drive external scientific engagement and shape policy‑relevant communications to regulators, academia, and industry partners.

You will guide innovation while ensuring consumer safety, oversee horizon scanning, and mentor a high‑performing toxicology team across global R&D functions.

Qualifications

• PhD in Toxicology or closely related field; MS with substantial experience considered.
• 10+ years progressively senior toxicology and risk assessment experience.
• Expertise in risk assessment paradigms, weight of evidence and exposure assessment.
• Ability to influence via external scientific bodies and coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior toxicology expert for NA and LATAM, guiding safety assessments.
• Lead external scientific affairs strategies across the Americas and stakeholders.
• Develop strategies enabling safe innovative ingredients and technologies.
• Provide post‑market safety guidance and issue management support.
• Coach and elevate team toxicology capabilities and external communication.
