Job summary

Nurix Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Director of Total Rewards to lead compensation and benefits strategy, design, and execution. reporting to the CHRO, you will shape scalable total rewards infrastructure across base pay, incentives, equity, and executive programs.

The role requires 8-10+ years in compensation/benefits, with 3-5 years in leadership, and biotech/pharma exposure. Expect collaboration with Finance, Legal, and HRIS to drive compliance, analytics, and impactful people programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (CCP, CBP, CEBS) preferred.
• 8-10+ years of experience in compensation and benefits, including 3-5 years in a total rewards leadership role.
• Biotech/pharmaceutical or life sciences experience strongly preferred; clinical-stage or newly commercial company is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of equity compensation structures (RSUs, ISOs/NSOs, ESPP) common in biotech.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into insights and recommendations.
• Excellent judgment and discretion handling highly sensitive compensation and personnel data.
• Proven ability to build programs and processes in a growing, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence at all levels, including the Board.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and administer base pay, incentive compensation, equity, and executive programs.
• Lead annual compensation cycles, merit increases, bonus funding/payout, and equity refresh grants.
• Conduct market benchmarking and job leveling for competitive, equitable pay.
• Monitor pay equity analyses and remediation.
• Ensure compliance with compensation regulations across jurisdictions.
• Design and manage a competitive benefits portfolio (health, retirement, leave, wellness).
• Manage vendor/broker relationships, renewals, and new offerings.
• Ensure ERISA, ACA, ADA, FMLA, COBRA compliance; lead open enrollment planning/execution.
• Serve as SME to CHRO and leaders on compensation/benefits; collaborate with Finance, Legal, HRIS tools.
