Job summary

Lilly is constructing an advanced manufacturing facility in Goochland County, Virginia, and seeks a Senior Director, Supply Chain to lead site-wide supply chain, warehousing, and logistics.

You will translate forecasts into production plans, optimize inventory, manage risk, and build leadership capabilities to scale GMP operations; during startup phase, roles will be fluid to support project delivery and organizational buildout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering or related technical function.
• 5+ years’ experience supporting manufacturing operations in a pharmaceutical supply chain.
• Experience with planning processes: demand management, forecasting, manufacturing orders, BOMs.
• 5+ years of leadership building and managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead materials and production planning to ensure product availability and timely shipments.
• Oversee site-wide supply chain meetings to resolve delays and shortages.
• Own planning processes and integrate supply chain needs into strategic plans.
• Develop and maintain planning tools (dashboards, trackers) for cross-functional decisions.
• Govern master data (materials, BOMs, recipes, resources).
• Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and procurement to address issues.
• Define and track KPIs to measure planning effectiveness and improvement opportunities.
• Support regulatory compliance and lean initiatives across operations.
