Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing (Casting and Forging) in Phoenix, AZ, operating on a hybrid schedule. You will drive procurement strategy, cost savings, supplier performance, and supply chain continuity for raw materials, casting, and forging categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Materials/Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
• 15+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Knowledge of SAP and e-sourcing tools.
• International experience across high-growth regions.
• Cross-functional experience with engineering/tech, operations, and sales/marketing.

THE POSITION

As a Senior Director Strategic Sourcing (Casting and Forging) here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in driving the procurement strategy and initiatives to achieve cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure supply chain continuity. The categories to be managed will include sub commodities Raw Material, Casting and Forging. This is a leadership role with directors managing each of the sub-commodities.

You will report directly to our VP of Strategic Sourcing, Mechanical and you'll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the financial performance of the business through the delivery of cost savings, working capital improvement, and supplier quality by developing and executing annual and strategic procurement plans aligned with business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute annual and strategic procurement plans
• Ensure alignment of procurement strategies with business objectives
• Lead sourcing transition initiatives to optimize the supply base and reduce risk
• Participate in new supplier search and development
• Drive supplier negotiation and contract management
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent in the procurement team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sourcing strategies
• Improve sourcing processes and performance through effective management operating systems
• Communicate and report transition progress to senior leadership
• Lead supplier management activities to drive deliveries to need and facilitate recovery solutions.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor/master's degree in Materials/Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy.
• 15+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing procurement strategies
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
• Knowledge of sourcing processes and tools, such as SAP and e-sourcing platforms
• International experience with exposure to high-growth regions
• Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, sales/marketing
