Job summary

The University of Chicago Advancement team invites a Senior Director to bridge strategy and execution across Strategic Planning, Campaign Management, and the Executive Office. The role guides priorities, ownership, sequencing, and decision-making, while supervising project managers embedded in multiple workstreams.

You will lead governance, coordinate across divisions, and partner with People and Culture to onboard senior leaders.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years in nonprofit management or advancement leadership.
• Experience leading senior teams and cross-functional programs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into coordinated action with clear ownership and timelines.
• Directly manage senior project managers across planning and campaign functions.
• Develop governance structures to improve decision-making.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to maintain momentum.
• Prepare executive materials and reports for leadership.
• Support enterprise campaigns and strategic projects.
